Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 May 2026 · Applies to metal-intel.com and app.metal-intel.com
In one paragraph
We collect the minimum information needed to operate the platform: an email address for sign-in, an investor profile you choose during onboarding, and aggregate analytics about how the platform is used. We do not sell your data, we do not run ads, we do not embed third-party trackers on legal or signal pages, and we will tell you if anything changes.

01Who We Are

Metal Intelligence Platform (referred to here as “MIP”, “the platform”, “we”, or “us”) is operated from India. If you need to contact a real human about a privacy matter, use the Beta feedback button inside the application or write to us via the contact form on the homepage.

02What We Collect

CategoryExamplesWhy
Account data Email address, the time you signed up, the magic-link tokens we send to that address. To let you sign in and to send you the platform’s daily signal-change notifications if you opt in.
Profile data Your chosen investor profile (SIP, Procurement, or Lump-sum) and your allocation band (Small / Medium / Large). To personalise signal narratives. We never collect or display precise rupee amounts.
Usage data Which tabs you visit, when you ran a recon, which signals you viewed, error events. To improve the platform and to detect outages. Aggregated; not joined to your identity in dashboards.
Feedback Anything you write into the Beta feedback button, plus the tab you were on at the time. To act on the feedback. Stored with your user identifier so we can write back to you.
Procurement decisions For procurement-buyer users only: any decisions you log in the Decisions tab. To compute calibration accuracy for your account. Stored under your account only; we do not share between accounts.
Browser data IP address, user-agent string, cookie session identifier. Standard server logs, retained for 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

03What We Do Not Collect

04Cookies and Tracking

The landing page (this site) sets no third-party cookies. The legal pages run no analytics. The application at app.metal-intel.com sets a small number of first-party cookies and session-storage items strictly necessary to operate the platform:

No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking pixels, no fingerprinting libraries. We may add a privacy-respecting analytics service in future; if we do, we will update this policy and announce it on the homepage for at least seven days before turning it on.

05How We Use Your Data

We do not use your data to train any machine-learning model that is shared outside our own platform.

06How We Share Your Data

We do not sell your data. We do not rent it. We do not pass it to ad networks. We do share data, when necessary, with the following narrow set of operational providers:

These providers act under contractual data-processing terms; they do not have the right to use your data for their own purposes. They may store data outside India, principally in the European Union and the United States.

We may also share data if compelled by a lawful and specific order from a court or regulator of competent jurisdiction.

07Your Rights

You can, at any time:

To exercise any of these rights, use the Beta feedback button inside the application or the contact form on the homepage.

08Data Retention

09Security

We use industry-standard security practices: HTTPS everywhere, parameterised database queries, role-based access control, and row-level security on every sensitive table. Sign-in uses magic links rather than passwords, eliminating an entire class of credential-theft attacks.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs that may affect you, we will notify affected users within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, in line with prevailing data-protection norms.

10Children

The platform is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has signed up, please contact us and we will delete the account.

11Changes

This policy may be updated. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced on the homepage for at least seven days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
